Shipbuilding is one of many industries revolutionized by the introduction of extended reality, specifically virtual reality and augmented reality, as an advanced and innovative tool for training, monitoring and maintenance.

In the latest issue of Naval Forces, German engineering company RENK AG breaks down the different aspects in which both virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) add real value to the shipbuilding industry, alluding to their recent expansion in the field thanks to the strategic partnership with Modest Tree in September 2019.
